Pagal galiojančius statybos techninius reglamentus Lietuvoje, pastato griovimas, kaip ir jo statyba, yra laikomas statybos proceso dalimi. Šio veiksmo tikslas – kruopščiai ir visiškai demontuoti pastatą, įtraukiant visas jo struktūras.
